Faithful Witness

Jesus is a Faithful Witness! Whatever the Father says and shows Him, He does. What He sees He does, and what He does He sees!

“I have manifested (made a witness of) thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.” John 17:6-8

“Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth” Revelation 1:5

And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true” Revelation 3:14

These scriptures show that He is a faithful witness. He shows us what actually has taken place and what is to take place in the future. He is a faithful witness!

Richard of St. Victor in Trench sums up this truth with five confirmations. He is a faithful witness because He made known to the disciples what the Father said. He taught truth without regard to man’s opinion. He confirmed the truth by miracles. He denied not the Father even unto death. Finally, on the judgement day, He will give a faithful witness of good and bad.

Jesus is faithful to all the promises God has given us to walk in today!
Today, Father, I am thankful for Jesus, the faithful Witness, He can be trusted.
I will trust in what He says!
